Gesundheit!

We're at the dome covering SU football again.  It's not quite as unbearable as one (or many) may have predicted.  Frosh wideout Van Chew (pictured playing high school football in New Hampshire) has just made a terrific catch over a Pitt defender in the end zone to give the 'Cuse a 24-13 with 12:30 left in the third quarter.

Skip Prosser Dead at 56

Absolutely shocking news from Wake Forest, as their men's basketball head coach has died of a heart attack in his mid 50s. Despite having two down years in a row, Skip Prosser had done really good things at Wake. Two years ago, his team was led by Chris Paul. Had that team played any bit of defense, Skip Prosser might be a national championship head coach. But that's all just the game of basketball. I definitely feel for the Wake Forest community and wish his family and players the best getting through this tough time. For the second time in two years, the college basketball world has experienced a terrible loss. Last year, Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon's sister Maggie, who coached Army, died of a heart problem as well.

NBA Dlog: This Party Really Died

The names are becoming more unfamiliar as this draft rolls along. Stephane Lasme of UMass went 46th to Golden State.

Dominic McGuire goes to the Wizards. The Lakers take Pau Gasol's younger brother Marc. The Ray Allen trade is finally made official. Big Aaron Gray of Pitt is the Bulls pick at #49.

Stephen A. says MJ's Richardson trade is nearly as bad as taking Kwame Bown first overall. Renaldas Seibutus goes 50th to Dallas. JamesOn Curry goes to Chicago at #51. Taurean Green is now a Trail Blazer (who isn't?).

Demetris Nichols also goes to Portland. Portland changes nickname to Schick Rookies. Now that my 'Cuse guy has been drafted I can tune out. That's a wrap on the 2007 NBA Dlog.
