Rivalry renewed tonight as Laker head to Stafford to face the Cards

Tonight is the night most OSU Hockey fans have been waiting for. The renewal of the biggest rivalry in all of Division III hockey starts tonight as the Lakers travel to the Stafford Ice Arena in PLattsburgh to take on the Cards. Oswego has not beaten Plattsburgh since February 3rd 2006 with a 7-6 victory at Romney Fieldhouse. The lakers come into tonight with an 0-8-1 record in their last 9 against the Cards including SUNYAC playoffs. The Cards are the defending confrence champs. Both teams come into tonights game off wins last night. The big question going into tonights game for the Lakers will be the goaltending. Last night Kyle Gunn Taylor got the start in net and there is still no word on Paul Beckwith as of this moment. We will see what happens when the puck drops at 7. Coverage tonight will begin at 6:20 with countdown to faceoff where we will go behind the bench with Coach Gosek and will also have Laker Rewind with a recap of last seasons series between the two teams. Then we will have puck drop at 7 from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh at 7 here on WNYO
