First game of a weekend road trip begins tonight at 7 as the Lakers travel to Buffalo State to take on the Bengals. Last season when these two teams met, both games went to Oswego. The first meeting of the year went to overtime with Oswego getting the 3-2 victory at Buffalo State. The Bengals had a 2-0 lead at the end of 2 periods on goals by Cory Park and Joe Curry. The lakers got the game tied with under 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd on goals by Tyler Lyon and Ryan Ellis. Then in overtime Chris Laganier got the winner 3:30 minutes into ot. Then the next meeting was at the Campus Center Ice Arena on January 31st. The goals for the lakers that night came from Brad Dormiedy, Eric Selleck who got 2 goals and Matt Whitehead.
A lot has changed for both teams again from last season to this year with players leaving and then new guys coming to pick up the slack. Coverage will begin here on WNYO at 6:30 with countdown to faceoff then puck drops at 7.
