WNYO Sports

Hello All. Welcome to the NEW WNYO sports Blog Page. My name is Matthew Solomon and I am the new Sports Director for 88.9FM WNYO! Before I go any further it might be good if you guys get to know a little more about me. I'm from Long Island New York. I graduated from H.H.H High School East in 2006. I spent two years at Suffolk County Community College where I graduated with an associates degree in general studies. I was a student at SUNY Oswego last year and if you have listened to WNYO before you know I had my own radio show and I was the color commentator for all men's ice hockey home games last season.

But enough about me. Lets talk about what will happen with WNYO this upcoming year. We will be covering Oswego Bucks football in the fall. Oswego State men's and Women's ice hockey in the winter. As far as spring sports is concerned it will be decided what we cover as the year goes on. I would like to thank everybody who has done work with this sports department over the past few years. The biggest thank you should go to Ryan Maloney for all the hard work and dedication he has put into this station. I just hope I don't screw it up too badly.
